A sewer line has terrible manners. It never schedules trouble for a calm Tuesday at 10 a.m. It waits until guests are in the house, laundry is mid-cycle, the dishwasher is humming, and someone has AC repair just announced, with theatrical urgency, that the toilet is “making a sound.”
